The cynical view is that this looks like a reshuffle of Championship seasons from the last decade. A former Championship winning manager, a Chelsea loanee (I’m aware we’ve actually bought him), Karl Darlow, Liam Cooper and lovely, little Sam Byram. Who is now apparently pushing 30. I won’t have it, Sam. You’re always 20 in my mind. Is this going to work, or are we just in Brian McDermott/Neil Warnock territory, but with parachute payments?
