The 7-0 win against Southampton back in 1972 was one of the first bits of Leeds history I remember seeing. Like every part of The Glory Years VHS, it’s a glimpse into Leeds United as the best team in the world from a time when few moments were captured on film. For the unfortunate fans of Leeds in the post-millennium era, the seven-goal games are all available to view at the click of a button. Losing 7-0 away at prime Manchester City was hardly a surprise, nor was a 6-1 defeat to Liverpool, but fans of the deeper cuts can go back and relive some more profound misery.
