Will Still. Luton’s away end. Ethan Ampadu’s three consecutive relegations. Tiresome social media content and nothing more. One should never judge a book by its cover, nor a footballer by their Wikipedia page.
Ampadu’s arrival at Leeds met with mixed reaction. While the analysts salivated, some fans shrugged and others were just relieved to see a warm body come in as the last of the Marsch-Orta contingent sped out of Yorkshire, quite literally.
Anyway, Ampadu. Last existed in the Anglo-centric consciousness in 2021 as part of Hecky’s abysmal Sheffield United side. After a two-year stint in Italy, he rocked up in the better quarter of Yorkshire with two more relegations under his belt, but there is so much more to his time than that.
