An illustration of Mateo Joseph in the fruit salad away shirt, celebrating so coolly he's surrounded by multicolours
Peacocks for Parakeets

Joseph and his shirts of many colours

Written by: James Richardson

From humble beginnings in the green and white, or Los Verdiblancos, of Racing Santander, to the blue and white stripes of Espanyol. The classic red with yellow trim of ‘La Furia Roja’, or the traditional all white of the roaring Three Lions. Mateo Joseph Fernandez-Regatillo, at just twenty years old, has amassed a colourful range of kits to hang on his bedroom wall.

By swapping the Parakeets of Barcelona for the Peacocks of Beeston, Joseph is making the most of our Astonish deal with constant white washes on the go. Leeds and England shirts have been wafting in the Yorkshire breeze, as more people are starting to pay attention to the name on the back of the shirt rather than the badge on the front.
