When we signed Jayden Bogle from Sheffield United last Summer, I think it’s fair to say that the hype was pretty minimal. Bogle was rumoured to have joined for around £5m, and having sold Archie Gray, with Georgi Rutter and Crysencio Summerville also set to depart, the hope was that Leeds would invest significantly to strengthen. Selling Gray for £30m and buying Bogle for £5m wasn’t quite the statement signing that we perhaps hoped to make.
