Speeding

David White running so fast his hair his being blown backwards!

In October 2018 David White walked away from court after he racked up twelve points for speeding offences, which was a little ironic given that, as a player, he was known for his express pace. White was a fixture of Manchester Cityโ€™s side from 1987 to 1993, a time when City were to football what the Hacienda was to music. Effortlessly cool and unpretentious. Ecstasy on and off the pitch, including a famous 5-1 hammering of their less than noisy neighbours, while City achieved two fifth placed finishes at the beginning of the 1990s. White, in partnership with Niall Quinn, spearheaded City’s attack, and this was no doubt very much in Howard Wilkinsonโ€™s mind when he decided to trade David Rocastle for White thirty years ago this December.
