โ€œIs he still playing for Leeds?โ€ The question came from my five-year-old son after the 4-3 win at Ipswich. โ€œYes, he is,โ€ I replied. Thankfully there were no further follow up questions. Trying to explain who itโ€™s okay to like and who itโ€™s probably best to move on from has been tricky to explain to a child watching Leeds United in recent years.

The first major hurdle was Kiko Casilla. One of the first football songs my son knew was the Pablo Hernandez/Kiko Casilla one. Suddenly having to drop โ€˜Kiko see-yaโ€™ from the song isnโ€™t really something you can explain to a two-year-old. Er, we just donโ€™t sing that anymore. Heโ€™s probably not always been a very nice man. Letโ€™s move on.
