If you’ve read each instalment of this recap, you’ve probably got a pretty good idea of how I was feeling as a fan at the time. It was one of the most frustrating, non-sensical, embarrassing campaigns I’ve ever had the displeasure of sitting through, which is saying something when you consider just what Leeds United have been through in the past 25 years or so. One of the reasons for writing these pieces has been to, somehow, rationalize the experience to myself, ten years removed from being in the centre of it, like replaying personal trauma in order to better understand and move on from it.
