After unsuccessfully appealing the decision to disqualify him from the Leeds United board, Massimo Cellino resigned from his position on January 23, 2015. His departure brought an end to what had been a tumultuous time at the club, as — once again — off-field chaos distracted from what was happening on the pitch.
