Meet TSB’s new columnist, Gaetano Berardi himself. This season Bera is taking time out from studying for his coaching qualifications to talk us through his memories of playing for Leeds, and in this issue, about the difference a song can make.
Junior Firpo is playing really well. He’s had some great games in the last few weeks. He’s the example of a player who kept working hard for himself and for the team. He’s a proper professional.
It’s not always easy to adapt to a new league for players coming from other countries. Junior probably needed a bit of time to adapt. It’s clear it was difficult for him having some of the fans not being fully supportive, but when you have the right mentality, the more difficulties there are, the more there will be an evolution. It’s completely different when you feel the full support from the fans. I’ve heard about his chant, and it shows how things can change when you keep pushing and working hard.
