“In Chile you can talk with people, and we are called ‘The Widows of Bielsa,’” poet Felipe Cussen explained in October 2018’s issue of TSB. This is how Chilean football fans have described themselves since Marcelo Bielsa left his position as national team manager in 2011. They’ve won two Copa Americas since, but the pining for the OG remains.

When the great man bolted into Beeston in 2018, it lit a fire in our fanbase that hasn’t really gone out. Suddenly, tickets were nigh on impossible to come by. Neutrals were keen to talk about Leeds United’s football rather than the general maelstrom of bullshit that went with the club. Cellino? Bates? GFH? League One? “It’s sad to see a big club in such a state.” Fuck off! We’re back!
