Luciano Becchio and Jermaine Beckford celebrating another goal by saluting each other in the sunshine. All the good stuff

“If anyone thinks we are just a three-man team, so be it,โ€ said Simon Grayson ahead of Leedsโ€™ last league game of the 2008/09 season. โ€œWe’ll let them concentrate on stopping that trio because we know we have other players who can score goals too.โ€

Nobody wants to be described as belonging to a one-man team, sure. But a three-man team? Grayson might have been arguing that the defence was looking more assured since he replaced Gary McAllister as manager, but nobody else at Leeds seemed to mind accusations of being a three-man team, because those three men were Jermaine Beckford, Luciano Becchio, and Robert Snodgrass.
